We, at the Santa Barbara Jazz Society were looking forward to a concert by the dynamic vocalist, James Arnold in November, but unfortunately he has been injured and has had to postpone his appearance until next year. However, we feel fortunate to present The Woody DeMarco Quartet featuring KIm Richmond Sunday, November 13 from 1 to 4pm at SOhO. Mr. DeMarco is certainly well known in these parts and a stellar piano soloist but maybe even better known as a super accompanist for the many vocalists in our area. Other members of the quartet are veteran players, bassist Hank Allen and Craig Thatcher on drums. On this occasion they will be joined by the fabulous saxophonist, Kim Richmond. Based in Los Angeles, Kim works as a freelance musician,
doing studio work, show concerts, composer and arranger. He has released 10 albums and is on a myriad of others. Active in the educational arena, he has been an associate professor at USC, CalArts, and as a director of the Northwoods Jazz Camp and the Santa Barbara Jazz Workshop. You won’t want to miss this stellar jazz presentation.

Admission to the event is $20 for Jazz Society members, $10 for professional jazz musicians and singers and full time students, and $25 for non-members. Doors open at 12:30 and seating is limited, so plan to arrive early
