Singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Omar Velasco's music draws from a broad range of influences; it pays homage to the greats of the past - like Stevie Wonder, Shuggie Otis, Joni Mitchell and Milton Nascimento - while avoiding the triviality of nostalgia.  It allows the richness of music from around the world - across era and genre - to give it depth and diversity, while maintaining clarity and poignancy.  It is music that is difficult to classify, yet has a familiarity that is easy to digest.  Velasco's productions possess a transcendent quality which transports the listener to distant and beautiful landscapes, while the lyrics anchor the song in simple, heartfelt poetic ground.

Based in Los Angeles, Omar Velasco has toured and collaborated with artists such as Jonathan Wilson, Jim James and My Morning Jacket, Gardens and Villa and many others.

Alexandra Riorden

Alexandra Riorden’s debut LP Angel City Radio is an abstract chronicle of the tumultuous healing process, wrapped in a smoke-scented velvet curtain of shimmering indie-rock. Progressing like a Lynchian dream sequence, each song on the record takes the listener down a different hallway in the labyrinth that is recovery; some dark, others sweet & reflective, but all moving towards empowerment and self-reliance. After tracking the record with co-producer Max Collier, Riorden worked with mixing engineer Jason Quever (Beach House, Cass McCombs) and mastering engineer Timothy Stollenwerk (Kevin Morby, Haley Heynderickx) to smooth the edges and shape Angel City Radio into an ethereal psych-pop experience. Alexandra is currently finishing up her second full-length album slated for release in 2023, co-produced with Omar Velasco.

"Sweet and catchy, with hints of indie pop and Americana—comparable to the likes of Angel Olsen or Fiona Apple...soothing and delicate, while also being robust and empowering."
