Casey Abrams
Casey Abrams was born in Austin, Texas on February 12, 1991 to Pam Pierce and Ira Abrams. Casey spent the first several years of his life in the Chicago, Ill. area before moving to Idyllwild, Ca. in the fifth grade when his father, who holds a Ph.D from Harvard in Social Relations/Social Anthropology, joined the faculty at the Idyllwild Arts Academy to teach in the school's moving picture department. Located in the San Jacinto Mounatins of Southern California, the Idyllwild Arts Academy is a boarding high school in which students can major in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, creative writing, moving pictures or interdisciplinary arts.

Casey Abrams would go on to attend Idyllwild himself where he was mainly known as a jazz musician who played several instruments including the bass and piano. Casey's bass instructor at Idyllwild was acclaimed jazz professor Marshall Hawkins who once toured the United States with the Miles Davis Quintet. In addition to Hawkins, Casey's list of musical influences include Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles and James Taylor.

After graduating from Idyllwild in 2009, Casey Abrams moved on to the University of Colorado at Boulder where he continued his studies as a music major.

In 2010, at the American Idol tryouts in Austin, TX. Casey Abrams wowed the judges with his powerful rendition of Ray Charles' "I Don't Need No Doctor" and he was unanimously selected for the coveted trip to Hollywood.

In Hollywood, Casey first displayed his skills on the bass by performing a very unique and jaw-dropping version of "Georgia on My Mind," that brought raves from the judges, fellow contestants and viewers from all over the country.

Casey Abrams was eventually eliminated from the American Idol competition on April 28, 2011, finishing in sixth place.

On January 8, 2012 Abrams signed with Concord Music Group , the same record company that also is the home to music legend Paul McCartney.
Rivvrs' heartfelt and enigmatically enlightening music has been featured on television shows such as NBC's 'About A Boy' & 'The Night Shift', FOX's 'Red Band Society', MTV's 'Finding Carter', and The CW's 'Reign'.

His music, which is characterized by its poetic and introspective lyricism, coupled with his signature raspy sound, carries with it whispers of optimism that blends with his catchy, soul-uplifting music.

A singer-songwriter based in San Francisco, CA; Rivvrs brings to his audience an eclectic blend of folk, pop, and soul; one that blurs the lines of its respective traditional genres. In him one finds a tamed rasp that hovers between a soft whisper and a booming roar, which has led to comparisons to artists such as, Ray Lamontagne, Jackie Greene, Amos Lee and Paul Simon.

Rivvrs' Debut EP, Hold On, is now available.

He can be found regularly performing around the United States, most recently opening for Jewel and Matt Costa.
