The Brambles
The Brambles
California duo Carly (ukelele) and Bethany (percussion) are The Brambles. A Young female duo inspired by Americana Folk ballads and toe tapping tunes. Friends since high school their musical kinship developed when they were brought together by their mutual passion of euphoric acoustics in unusual places. In 2014 they made it official and began their passion of yelling harmoniously in public. In 2017 the Brambles released their first studio EP "The Brambles Greatest Hits" Musical influences: Head and the Heart, Janis Joplin, The Civil Wars, Etta James, Bob Dylan, Alison Krauss, The Everly Brothers, Kate Nash, David Bowie, Billie Holiday. Shared interests are sandwiches, cats, killer whales, honey, bubble baths, whiskey in a jar, good red wine.
Taylor Casey
Taylor Casey
You may have heard Taylor Casey around town, playing cover sets at wineries, breweries, or at venues with his rock band, Earl & the Love Dove, but he comes to Soho by himself to share his songs; bare and stripped down, raw and vulnerable. By delving into archived styles from the 1960s and 1970s with an added dose of sun-drenched Californian living, the Goleta local gives off a feel-good vibe while paying respect to the deeper, thought provoking lyrics that inhabit his music. After moving to New York post-college, Taylor was giving the opportunity to participate in a singer/songwriter program at Juilliard University, where he fell in love with the craft and decided to throw himself into it, eventually moving to Austin and after, back to Santa Barbara. His musical influences include Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Dr. Dog, Houndmouth, Kevin Morby, the Rolling Stones, and the Growlers. As a general rule, therefore, it’s hard to pin Taylor down musically. It seems he is just as much rock ‘n’ roll as he is folk, Americana, indie and whatever else. There’s a delightful organic feel to his music that only a truly authentic and natural mix of influences can provide, with nothing forced or deliberate, just as it should be.
