Write Reverend Lumpy
Joe (Lumpy) DeWitt has been performing as vocalist and playing Wide Mouth Bass for Captain Cardiac and the Coronaries since 1976. In the early 1980’s, he was a member of The Loyal Defense Workers: four engineers working in the Aerospace Industry, where they wrote songs about the military industrial complex, spies, engineers, nuclear missiles, high technology, the nature of man, and in Joe’s case, alien abductions!  As a fan of Humankind and being fascinated by Life on Earth (and when not with Cardiac), he plays 12 string guitars and writes songs in the folk-rock and protest tradition of the 1960’s.  His current passion is getting out the vote in 2018.  To that end, the proceeds he personally receives at the Singer- Songwriter Showcase night will be matched and sent to VOTE.ORG for increasing voter turnout in November 2018.
Pawlie
Pawlie
Pawlie is a local singer/songwriter who first strummed a guitar at age 13 while living on the east coast. Playing and singing in high-school rock bands, he quickly discovered a passion for all aspects of music composition, performance, recording, and production — eventually leading him to UCSB’s engineering school. Since the early 1990s, Pawlie has been writing, recording, and performing his original brand of acoustic and electric songs, drawing upon deep influences in the pop, jazz, folk, and even progressive genres. Pawlie has released three albums to date — Pawlie (1994), The Small Time (1998), and Little Green Man (2011) — and is currently working on his fourth. Pawlie lives in Santa Barbara with his wife Libby and their two pampered felines, Penny and Jasper.
