Mimi Gilbert
Mimi Gilbert
Mimi Gilbert discovered her love for music and performance on the streets of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle as a teenager. Now having spent the last two years touring consistently in the USA and Europe, she continues to carry her songs and story around the world, playing in venues of all kinds. In the realm of indie, cinematic folk, Mimi is harmony driven and with a love for deep rhythm. She creates layer upon layer of a raw, prevailing sound that simply burst with life, journey and experience.
The Brambles
The Brambles
California duo Carly (ukelele) and Bethany (percussion) are The Brambles. A Young female duo inspired by Americana Folk ballads and toe tapping tunes. Friends since high school their musical kinship developed when they were brought together by their mutual passion of euphoric acoustics in unusual places. In 2014 they made it official and began their passion of yelling harmoniously in public. In 2017 the Brambles released their first studio EP "The Brambles Greatest Hits" Musical influences: Head and the Heart, Janis Joplin, The Civil Wars, Etta James, Bob Dylan, Alison Krauss, The Everly Brothers, Kate Nash, David Bowie, Billie Holiday. Shared interests are sandwiches, cats, killer whales, honey, bubble baths, whiskey in a jar, good red wine.
The Brave Kind
The Brave Kind
California natives Lauren and Megan Sexton are sisters who are also friends, and who also play music together with their inimitable bandmates. In the couple years following the release of their debut EP (recorded at Brotheryn Studios in Ojai, CA) they've trekked back and forth across the country in their Chevy van (at times, a real peach) playing everything from house shows to dive bars to renowned venues. Their indie-folk-rock music swells with rich harmonies, resonant viola melodies, and magical guitar picking sprinkled with space dust. They hope to make music that helps people feel a little less alone on these wild and dusty trails.
Emily Wryn
Emily Wryn
In 2007 Emily Wryn recorded a quick and dirty demo at Certain Sparks Recording Studio that made it's way to famed tastemaker Nic Harcourt. The songs 'Head on Straight' and 'Rain' were added along side major record label releases on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic.

Wryn began playing venues like the Hotel Cafe and was welcomed as a fresh voice in LAs Singer-Songwriter resurgence.

After a brief hiatus she self released her 2012 EP 'Head on Straight' . Head on Straight was recorded and produced at Certain Sparks and received many warm reviews, music awards, and college airplay.

In 2013 Emily played the festival circuit with 'Emily Wryn and The Lights Electric' both nationally and internationally.

Now, four years since her EP debut, Wryn has her first full length album. "Feral" was recorded and produced at Erickson Sound Labs.
