Nansie Chapman - celebration of her new CD, "Fading Memories" Join me and some amazing musicians and please invite your friends. I'll be singing with John Douglas on keyboards (who also co-wrote several songs), Maitland Ward on guitar, Ejé Lynn-Jacobs on bass, Kevin Winard on drums, Rose Linehan on backup vocals, special guests Justin Claveria on sax and Michael Morse on guitar.. Cost: $10 at the door. Background:
My mother was a classical pianist and I learned to play the piano by ear. I began singing songs as far back as I can remember and I found that rhymes just bounced off my head. Finding the harmony in songs was always easy and even though I was in a band for a short while in college I didn't return to singing until 2-1/2 years ago after my marriage broke up and songs began to pour out of me. My songs will take you on an emotional journey of love and heartbreak with a unique blend of poetic expression and raw honesty.
