Roland Tings
Roland Tings is Melbourne's jack-track anomaly with a penchant for acid coastlines and nebulous rhythms. Still fresh off 12" releases for 100% SIL and Club Mod, and the 'Who U Love' EP, the Melbourne producer just dropped his latest offering – his self titled debut album on Prins Thomas' label Internasjonal.

Forged by Melbourne's forward-thinking nightlife institutions, Tings made his debut with the Milky Way EP on 100% SILK – the enigmatic dance imprint founded by Not Not Fun's Amanda Brown. Having laid the groundwork of a raw satin aesthetic inspired by that of Larry Heard and Robert Hood, his sound was solidified on the Club Mod-released follow up Tomita's Basement, featuring remixes from Future Times' Maxmillion Dunbar and Junior Boys' Jeremy Greenspan. Functioning as club-ready oddities with neon finesse, his releases thrive as rhythmic visions pushing dancers into his very own modular oasis.

Roland Tings' debut self-titled album was released on the Prins Thomas owned Internasjonal – home to luminaries including Hunee, Discodromo and Mano Le Tough. The album was released to critical acclaim from media and fans alike, with nods from triple j (album of the week), XLR8R (8/10, album premiere, 10 Artists to Watch), Mixmag Germany (album of the month), Groove DE ("wonderful, epic") and iD ("he might just be the scene's next breakout export."). Having toured across much of Australia and Europe, he's sold out multiple album launches in Australia, performed at Meredith Music Festival and MONA FOMA, and has supported the likes of Tim Sweeney, Juan Atkins and Chet Faker. Now Roland Tings' custom texture continues to fold into a vibrant late-night fabric across the world.
